Town & Country Fireplaces – The New Helifire 360 Gas Fireplace is Versatile (Indoors and Out)
Fireplace Warehouse ETC now carries Town & Country’s innovative new gas fireplace, the Helifire 360. Sometimes, the name of a product in our industry bears little relation to its function, but not this time. The Helifire 360 is named for its ability to throw a helical shaped flame over four feet long within its modern looking stainless steel and tempered glass enclosure. As for the “360” part of the name, that has to do with the complete freedom you have in installing the Helifire in any orientation you choose. The Helifire 360 can be wall mounted horizontally or vertically, or at any angle between. The Helifire 360 is also so well sealed that it can be placed indoors or outdoors, in a surface or flush mounting. The Helifire 360 can also be purchased with a conventional stainless steel backer or factory configured as a “two sided” see through unit.
The only orientation restrictions on the Helifire 360 are that it cannot be mounted into or onto ceilings of floors. The unit must be kept in the vertical plane to function safely and properly. However, anywhere you have at least eight feet of wall space available, plus a little more for the gas feed and the air intake and combustion exhaust ports, you have options. The Helifire 360 can have both its air supply and flue exhaust extended by up to 50 feet through the use of separately purchased hoses and ducting.
When its wall-mounted switch is activated, the Helifire 360’s blower begins to operate nearly silently. This air creates the vortex into which the flame is ignited moments later. If the unit’s air mixture is set up correctly, the Helifire 360 will send an entertaining and sinewy flame licking towards the other end of its 52” firebox. The Helifire 360 is more than a decorative novelty too, it throws 22,000 BTU’s of heat per hour, making the Helifire the perfect unit for warming an outdoor patio area or a pool deck. For outdoor installation, exterior factory manufactured flashing is available to compliment the look of the Helifire 360. It should also be noted that while it uses a tempered glass viewing door, these units are not touch safe should you have curious children about.
