Colorado Springs Fireplace Store VP Mark Humphrey Elected to Board of Directors for Rocky Mountain HPBA
Colorado Springs, Colorado, September 1, 2016 – The Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) of Colorado Springs has elected fireplace store Fireplace Warehouse ETC Vice President Mark Humphrey to the Rocky Mountain HPBA board of directors for 2017.
As part of the Rocky Mountain HPBA (RMHPBA) Executive Committee, Mr. Humphrey will take on various operational functions including providing interviews to the media; research for affiliate opportunities; website development; networking with area contractors; addressing industry issues, and other organizational responsibilities.
“HPBA, Rocky Mountain Chapter is in the heart of the alternative heating products industry,” said Mark Humphrey, newly elected board member. “There are few homes built in this area that don’t have an alternative heating appliance of some sort. My years in the construction industry gives me a keen insight into what our industry needs to prepare for issues like air quality and energy conservation.”
First established in 1980 as the Hearth Products Association (HPA) and later merging with the Barbecue Industry Association (BIA) in 2002, the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) is a non-profit organization representing manufacturers, manufacturer representatives, distributors and retail fireplace stores selling hearth, patio, barbecue products and accessories, as well as companies who provide repair, installation and maintenance services for this range of products, which includes factory-built fireplaces; gas inserts; gas logs and accessories; wood, pellet, coal, gas and electric stoves; barbecues, grills, smokers and accessories; as well as patio furniture and accessories.
The organization’s Rocky Mountain chapter encompasses Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Utah. Regional service for members, monitoring local, state, and regional issues to provide service for members, as well as supporting affiliates nationwide, RMHPBA addresses vital industry needs, tackling important issues and mitigating government actions that could adversely affect its members and patrons.
