What to expect with your installation

Steps we take after your invoice has been processed:

1.     If the appliance is not in stock, the product is ordered (this can take 3-4 weeks on average, but depends on the manufacturer).
2.     The permit will be ordered from the city.*
3.     Product is received from the manufacturer.
4.     Permit has been picked up from the city by this time.
5.     When product is in and permit is done, the Customer will receive a call and the install will be scheduled.
6.     Prior to install, any prep work must be done either by homeowner or subcontractor (framing, electrical, etc).**
7.     Some cities require that gas lines, venting and framing be completed and inspected prior to install (rough install).
8.     City inspector comes out and completes “rough” inspection, if required.
9.     Possibly another date is scheduled to complete the final install.
10.   Fireplace is installed and hooked up.
11.   Inspection is called in to the city for a final time.
12.   Inspector comes out for final inspection of install.
13.   Installers come back out for a final start-up.

Keep in mind that although many installs can be physically completed in one day there are other factors that require the time and patience of the homeowner.

* City inspectors as well as some of our vendors work on their own schedules.

**If other work is being done, we need to coordinate our schedule with them (framers, electricians, drywallers, tilers, etc.) to ensure steps are done in the correct order.

We will do everything we can to make this an enjoyable experience for you.
